IBM IPTV

Brief:

IBM wanted to explore the possibilities and logistics of viewer profiling which learns from viewing habits. The challenge given was to tackle individual profiles for TV in what is often a shared experience.

What we did:

We created a hybrid user interface which handles content from multiple format sources, both live and archived, in a single unified interface. The final interface design was developed by IBM as a browser based proof of concept.

Outcome:

The project became the catalyst for the BBC freeband project.

An additional POC was demoed on a PS3 at IBC Amsterdam using live content feeds.
