BBC Launches Sound Index

NovaRising has joined forces with the BBC and IBM to create a web 2.0 music chart of the bands & tracks that are currently creating a buzz on the web. The site supports the BBC’s Sound TV show and has been touted as the chart to replace the Top 40.

Every 6 hours the site crawls MySpace, YouTube, Bebo, Last FM, iTunes & Google to compile a Top 1000 chart of what artists and tracks people are discussing on the web. It then gathers discography, video and artist info from YouTube, Last FM, Wikipedia, Amazon and MusicBrainz to enable users to discover more about individual entries.

Users can customise the chart and embed the results upon their social network profile pages or blogs through the social widgets available on the site.

The Sound Index has already garnered international praise throughout the blogosphere and the traditional press, with the Guardian hailing it as “the first definitive music chart for the internet age”.

Austravel readies for Digital Marketing offensive

NovaRising has been appointed to lead Austravel's UK and Ireland Digital Marketing strategy. The brief focuses on integrating Austravel's web and digital marketing campaigns with its offline marketing programmes to develop new customer acquisitions and support customer communications.

IBM appoints NovaRising for IPTV initiative

NovaRising has been appointed by IBM’s Global Business Services division to work on a new IPTV initiative within the Group. The project will leverage NovaRising’s experience within design, usability & marketing services across IPTV.

NovaRising appointed to build Armani Hotels Brand Extranet

NovaRising has recently been appointed to create a centrally hosted extranet for Armani Hotels providing a powerful new workflow solution. It allows an international team to manage documents and collaborate on brand assets and imagery. The solution includes a backend content upload, management and cataloging as well as an intelligent front-end navigation, download and powerful search tools.

Kate Moss gets Interactive with latest emerging media

NovaRising has launched the latest Kate Moss film promoting the new Agent Provocateur lingerie range utilising a whole array of emerging technologies, including; Video Email, Interactive Video, RSS and Vodcasting.

The film was released to Club AP members utilising an email format which streams video into the preview pane of the email client – this alone achieved click-through rates of up to 56%.

The trailer was also released on UGC sites such as You Tube & propagated by RSS feeds across iTunes and other Podcast aggregators in a Vodcast format.

The activity delivered the user to the online film which was encoded utilising a new Interactive Video technology where visitors were able to identify the lingerie items Kate was wearing and to click-through to the online shop to fulfil.

NovaRising to create Laureus Sports Awards website

NovaRising has initiated the website redesign project with Laureus for launch in early 2007 in time for the next Laureus global sports awards.

The site is set to include some of the latest emerging technologies such as video email and vodcasting elements to support the awards and make full use of the TV and video content that the Laureus organisation creates on a global basis.

The site will also be utilised by the worlds leading sports journalists to vote on the sports personalities of the year across 10 categories.

NovaRising create new web presence for Vividas plc

NovaRising develops new Vividas website. The site has been designed to differentiate Vividas from other streaming technologies and place it firmly within the IPTV broadband TV market.

The site caters for several different B2B and B2C audiences and succeeds in providing a simple content orientated site design which is supported by utilising CCS and accessibility design & coding principles.
